About Myro
'Myro the Musical' is based on ‘Myro, the Smallest Plane in the World’, the popular children’s picture story book and iPad App series about aeroplanes, by British author Nick Rose.
Whilst ‘Down Under’, Myro makes new friends, meets crazy animals, faces tricky situations and learns that friendship is the ultimate gift! 'Myro the Musical' can be performed by an entire school, a specific year-group or even just one class, and is particularly appealing to boys. |

The script for 'Myro the Musical' is fresh, original, fast moving, punchy and most importantly easy to learn by children of all abilities.

Choreography
There are great opportunities for letting your imagination ‘take off’ with exciting and fun choreographed scenes:
- 'Myro’s Dream', when the younger actors holding airplane models or cards circle around Myro
- 'The Bush Fire', ‘flames’ dance around the stage, scaring animals before being extinguished by the Hercules
- 'Freefall', when the skydivers can put on a group dance, miming the words to a parachuting song
- The finale ‘Myro’s Mega Mix’ when all involved can dance with their own routines.
Composer & Creator
Mike Roberts is an award winning British composer with a specialism in music for children and education www.childrenscomposer.co.uk
Co-writing the script and lyrics with Myro’s creator Nick Rose, Mike has composed and produced the song’s backing tracks with exceptional attention to detail. Past credits include music for ‘muppet’ creator Jim Henson, Telemagination, the BBC, ITV, Sky, Brook Lapping, and the Wigmore Hall. In addition to his writing activities, Mike is a Professor of Music at London’s Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and a father of two young children. |

Many schools performing 'Myro the Musical' have spent a complete fortnight before the show preparing props and costumes with the Musical Resources, and even improving their literacy with Myro's English Teaching Kit!
